Black Beauty - Poem
Thy melodious humming was
Annoying and sweet.
But your kiss is so brutal
Than a hornet’s sting.
You flirted around me
With a monotonously musical tune.
As I sprawled under the shady tree
Tucking my lunch at noon.
You’re from the exotic land
Of Cleopatra, the Queen,
Long, slender and dark
You’re a beauty to be seen.
Your hypnotic music,
Your dark littlie face,
You’re dancing on the wing,
With beautiful grace.
You’d put me to bed
With your kiss of death,
And may leave me to go
To the land of the dead.
But alas! I had to kill thee
You, sweet little witch…
Or you’d given me the Dengue,
Miss Aedes aegypti !
